We change lives!
Hawkes Home helps formerly incarcerated men transition into society. We do this with heart—that's what makes us unique and why we are so successful in breaking the cycle of recidivism rampant in the U.S. today.
We give our clients the tools they need to be successful—basic living skills that most of us take for granted but they lack, such as using a computer, searching for a job, and managing money—in a family setting. We are the home most never had.
Here they find and give support. And they learn what it means to be responsible and accountable. When they leave us, it is as healthy and productive members of society. This, in turn, makes for healthier and happier families, and for safer communities.

Problem:
Cycle of Recidivism
Prison/Jail
Release

On own
Return to familiar
Arrest
Without support, men released from prison/jail have no means to change from what they have done in the past and so keep repeating the same mistakes.
Solution:
Path to Productivity

Release
Prison/Jail
Productivity
• Life skills
• Reponsibility
• Accountability
• Workforce development
• More

For men serious about changing their lives, Hawkes Home provides the tools and support they need to become productive, healthy and self-sufficient members of society.
We replace recidivism with something good—for the men, for their families, and society at large.
Murphy's Home
We've found our second home, which is near Hawkes Home in Vista.

Earl Barstow is the General Manager of Hawkes Home and the new Murphy's Home.

Holiday Message
2025 has been a challenging year. In March we lost our beloved founder, Harley Noel. His vibrant presence and belief in the promise of Hawkes Home continues to inspire the men to overcome trials and find joy and purpose in their lives.
We thank you for your encouragement, prayers, and financial support which have made so much possible this year--solar panels, a remodeled bathroom, and a beautiful rose garden. Other highlights that helped to make Hawkes Home warm and comfortable for the men include the gift of handsome new living room furniture donated by our House Manager, Earl Barstow, and a wonderful holiday dinner hosted by the Schaefer Family.
We wish you a blessed season of joy, peace, and inspiration.

Take a Tour!
